Hey! I’m Shannon, a counselling psychologist (MA) experienced in individual youth (16+) and adult therapy, as well as partner’s counselling. I specialize in navigating major life changes and self-discovery or re-discovery. I believe that in our lifetimes we change, and, in a way, become different people as we age and process our past traumas and experiences. My therapeutic approach focuses on our different developing “selves” helping you to understand where you came from and discover how to keep evolving and growing. These changes take time but are possible when you have a safe space and person to share your experiences with.
My integrative practice incorporates professional training, certification, and ongoing developmental study in Somatic Work (SE), DBT, EMDR, CBT, and Strength-Based, Trauma-Informed therapies. My approach to therapy is rooted in mindfulness, the body’s wisdom, cultivating self-awareness, reflection, acceptance, and, most of all, self-compassion.
